Shalom uveracha friends!

It is with a heart filled with gratitude, excitement, and joy that I present to you our very first annual report on the momentous occasion of LPI’s first anniversary.

One year ago, on May 14, 2020, we began our unique social media programming with the intention of increasing awareness of, and fostering engagement with, the studies of Chassidus and penimiyus haTorah as well as the hashkafic approach contained in those works. With the unending kindness and constant assistance of Hashem, we have merited to succeed in consistently delivering inspirational, thought-provoking, and eye-opening content throughout one of the most turbulent years our generation has faced.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this movement for the soul of our tradition. It is your passion, your excitement, and your heartfelt expressions of appreciation for the imperative work we are doing that keeps us going, day in and day out. If we say our content is life-changing, it is because we have heard that from you, time and time again. And it is the knowledge that our efforts are making a real impact in Jewish lives across the globe that makes our work at LPI the most exhilarating spiritual and educational experience.

I also want to thank all of our phenomenal speakers for contributing to our programming as well as those who have submitted guest posts for our blog.

Finally, I want to extend a gigantic “Thank You!” to our donors – big and small – whose passionate support has enabled us to inspire many thousands with the inner light of Torah. We could not have done it without your help, and we are eternally grateful. May these spiritual investments continue to pay unfathomable dividends for your families and all of am Yisrael. Tizkeh l’mitzvos!

As we stand upon this elevated plateau and tread the threshold of our second year, we look back over the year that was and revisit some of the many torches that bore the light with which LPI merited to light up an increasingly darkened world.

1. “The Story of Our Lives” – The foundational text of the Lost Princess Initiative – a full-length exploration of Rebbe Nachman’s iconic tale of The Lost Princess – was first published on December 14 in softcover edition, followed by a hardcover edition distributed to Jewish bookstores everywhere. Enthusiastically received by thousands of Jews across the globe, this seminal work has been described as “Transformational”, “A masterful work of scholarship”, and “Life-Changing” and was most recently reviewed by Yochanan Gordon for the Five-Towns Jewish Times.

2. The Lost Princess Principles Course – In the months of February and March, two groups (men’s and women’s) of roughly 50 spiritual seekers from six countries and throughout the United States joined together to delve deeply into core principles extracted from The Story of Our Lives in the framework of the Lost Princess Principles webinar course. These remarkable sessions laid the groundwork for the second cycle of the program, this time for women only, starting right after Shavuos.

3. Chassidus Daily Program – The core of our social media programming, Chassidus Daily features a short daily excerpt from the works of the Chassidic masters delivered to our thousands of followers. While there are a lot of inspirationL quotes sent around bearing teachings of the Chassidic Masters, we feel it is important to see the teachings in their original form instead of somebody else’s interpretation. To that end, we have thus far sent out nearly 300 foundational Chassidic teachings in their original lashon hakodesh along with an exact English translation spanning the entirety of sefer Kedushas Levi and most of sefer Meor Einayim.

4. HaMeor SheBah Mini-Shiur Series – In an effort to consolidate the talent, vision, and energy of like-minded mashpiim who are sharing the teachings of the tzaddikim with English speaking communities all around the world, twice weekly we share mini-shiurim from some of this movement’s leading lights – an incredibly line-up of Rabbonim, rabbeim, mashpiim, musicians, psychologists etc. – expounding on teachings from our Chassidus Daily program. Throughout this past year, we have disseminated 70 of these short clips from over 30 phenomenal speakers.

5. LPITorah.org – Following many long months of toil, planning, and design, we launched our state-of-the-art website in December. Since then, LPITorah.org has been a one-stop-shop for those seeking inspiration, featuring an endless stream of audio, video, and written content aimed at the heart, mind, and soul of our wondrous generation.

6. Weekly Shiurim – We currently facilitate three weekly shiurim – Tzidkas HaTzaddik with Rabbi Elchonon Shoff, and Sichos HaRan as well as The Inner Dimension parsha shiur with R’ Yaakov Klein. Our shiurim, delivered both in person as well as online, are listened to by hundreds each week!

7. Music – With thanks to our anonymous sponsor, and as part of an ongoing project, we merited to record and release two Breslover Shabbos niggunim – Azamer B’Shevachin and Yom Shabbason, produced by Mendy Portnoy.

8. LPI’s Weekly Newsletter: “Shabbos Malkesah” – A number of weeks ago, we began our weekly newsletter, Shabbos Malkesah. Filled with inspirational content written by R’ Yaakov Klein, Rav Tal Moshe Zwecker, and Kyle Zaldin, this newsletter is helping communities around the world truly bring in Shabbos! With the help of our generous donors and dedicated volunteers, Shabbos Malkesah is distributed each Shabbos in tens of Shuls throughout the world.

9. “Let There Be Light” – Over Pesach, we distributed over a thousand copies of a special pamphlet containing important excerpts from “The Story of Our Lives” regarding the necessity for our educational institutions to utilize the inner light of Torah to reach the thirsting souls of our generation.

10. “A Summary of Oros HaTeshuvah” – R’ Yaakov Klein’s English summary of Rav Kook’s foundational work helped us prepare for Elul!

11. Special Programming – Throughout the year, we facilitated various special programs, including “In The Beginning”, a five-part shiur series with Rav Yaakov Danishefsky, “The Melodies of Teshuvah”, a pre-Rosh HaShana event in partnership with Just One Chessed featuring Mendy Portnoy, “The Inner Light of Tzitzis”, a special mini-shiur series in partnership with Project Tzitzis featuring Reb Leibush Hundert, “Sparks from the Fire”, over 30 foundational audio excerpts from the shiurim of LPI’s Rabbinical Advisor, Rav Moshe Weinberger shlita, “Toras Chessed” women’s content, “2020 Vision” quotes series, Sefiras HaOmer messages, “The Inner Light of Teshuvah” quote series, and much more!

As you can see, (and hopefully have seen in real time!) it has been quite the year. But, even now, we are only just beginning. We have a massive agenda for the coming year, which, in addition to the continuation and expansion of many of the programs mentioned above, includes:

1. Open Whatsapp Groups devoted to various topics

2. Shidduch Initiative

3. A number of new publications, including a children’s edition of “The Story of Our Lives”

4. LPI Minyanim program

5. LPI Swag

6. Much, much more!

With a prayer on our lips and conviction in our stride, we are gearing up for a phenomenal year of growth. We invite you to join us as we continue to search for the Lost Princess of communal inspiration, connection, and God-consciousness on our journey toward Moshiach.

At this time, we ask that you consider making a donation to LPI. Your support gives us the ability to continue our work, furthering the reach of the Baal Shem Tov and realizing his vision of preparing am Yisrael for Moshiach with the deepest teachings of our holy Torah! Your monthly recurring donation grants us a stable foundation upon which we can build something truly extraordinary. Thank you, and tizkeh l’mitzvos!

Also at this time, we ask that you consider helping us grow our audience by spreading the word about LPI to your family and friends! Share this article with anyone you feel might be interested in joining us for the coming year!

Once again, thank you so much for being a part of this remarkable movement. May Hashem bless us with the most incredible year up ahead filled with every manner of closeness to Him as we move closer and closer to the age about which the navi declares, “And the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Hashem like water covers the sea.”

Ashreinu!

Wishing you the most wonderful Shavuos,

Yaakov Klein
